The Cuivre River Electric Cooperative Board of Directors has appointed three new trustees to serve on the co-op’s Community Trust Board, which distributes funds raised through the Operation Round Up program.

John Nordwald (Warren County), Tammi Kneib (St. Charles County) and Blanche Kelly (Lincoln County) will each serve on the seven-person board. They will fill vacancies created by retiring trustees Doug Steinmeyer (St. Charles County), Linda Whalen (Lincoln County) and Joyce Hollaway (Warren County). Trustees are allowed to serve only two three-year terms.

Other 2021 trustees are Chairman Kyle Shell (St. Charles County), Vice Chairman John Deutch (Warren County), Treasurer Redonda Heitman (Lincoln County), Secretary Lisa Dunham (St. Charles County).

Since 1997, the Trust Board has awarded more than $6 million in Operation Round Up grants to individuals, families and organizations. The goal of Operation Round Up is to help address needs in the areas of health, education, home weatherization, youth, community and emergency services that cannot be met with other resources.
