The Cuivre River Electric Community Trust Board met in October and awarded $30,800 in grants funded through Operation Round Up. Health grants were awarded to 13 individuals and families from Bowling Green, O’Fallon, Old Monroe, St. Charles, St. Peters, Troy, Warrenton, Winfield, and Wright City. They included supporting bathroom retrofitting/walk-in bathtubs for several disabled individuals; physical therapy for a family’s autistic children; and a new
washer and dryer for a disabled woman. A weatherization grant was also awarded to support an individual whose mobile home needed windows to be replaced.

Community organizations that received grants included:
10-78 Project — $3,000 to fund mental health support for police officers involved in shooting incidents in the line of duty.
Lincoln County Council on Aging — $2,721 to help with providing and delivering meals to seniors.
• Earthwise Industries — $2,000 to help with building repairs of this sheltered workshop.
Veterans Coffee Talk — $3,000 to support the organization’s Thanksgiving Dinner for community members who are alone or unable to provide a meal for themselves.
• Troy Christmas Day Dinner — $2,000 to fund dine-in and delivery of Christmas dinners for community members in need.
• Bowling Green Middle School — $1,000 to help fund their Veteran’s Day celebration which brings veterans into the school to lunch with students.
• Operation Backpack/Wentzville United Methodist Church — $1,000 to support the church’s program to feed students in need.
• Wright City Robotics Program — $1,000 to help fund the purchase of parts for building robots. We are grateful to our members who participate in the Operation Round Up program! Your generous support helps us to help those in need in the communities we serve.
