The Cuivre River Electric Community Trust Board met in July and awarded $27,711 in grants funded through Operation Round Up.

Health grants were awarded to 16 individuals/ families from Elsberry, Eolia, Marthasville, Moscow Mills, O’Fallon, St. Charles, St. Peters, Troy, Truesdale, Warrenton, Wentzville, and Wright City, including support for a disabled man in need of a new hot water heater, hearing aids for a disabled man, a wagon for a child with cerebral palsy and a lift recliner chair for a disabled woman. A weatherization grant was awarded to a disabled man to help fund a new roof.

Community organizations that received grants included:
Foster Adopt Support Team of St. Charles — $5,000 to help fund shoe gift cards for the organization’s back-to-school backpacks for children in need.
Ekklesia Ministries — $2,500 to help with restocking the organization’s food pantry.
