The Cuivre River Electric Community Trust Board met in January and awarded $33,340 in grants funded through Operation Round Up. Health grants were awarded to two individuals and families from O’Fallon, which included helping a disabled woman with funding a recumbent strider to provide relief with arthritis. Community organizations that received grants included:

Crisis Nursery of St. Charles — $5,000 to fund the purchase of cleaning and hygiene products for families engaged in their Lincoln County Family Empowerment Program.
United Services — $5,000 to support the organization’s caregiver support program for developmentally disabled children.
First Step Back Home — $7,000 to help support the cost of lodging for homeless clients of the organization’s program.
Wright City R-II School District — $7,500 to help with purchasing equipment for their All Kids Bike program for elementary students.
Warren County Pathfinders — $6,647 to support the organization’s Journey’z Adult Day Program that serves individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities.
