The Cuivre River Electric Community Trust Board met in February and awarded $27,665 in grants funded through Operation Round Up. Health grants were awarded to five individuals/families from O’Fallon, Troy, Warrenton, and Wright City with medical needs. A weatherization grant was awarded to a family who needed a new door installed on their home.
Community organizations that received grants included:
• Lincoln County Fair — $5,000 to help support the construction of a new livestock facility in which youth participate in competition.
• St. Charles County Family YMCA — $3,500 to support the organization’s before/after school programs for youth.
• Saints Joachim and Ann Care Service — $3,500 to support the organization’s program which serves those in
crisis and helps to prevent homelessness and hunger.
• Sleep in Heavenly Peace — $5,000 to support the organization’s mission to build and deliver beds for children in need.
• Youth in Need — $2,000 to support the organization’s program to help youth who are homeless and in need of
shelter and crisis intervention.
• Warrenton Fire Protection District — $3,491 to help with replacing equipment on the fire district’s brush trucks.
We are grateful to our members who participate in the Operation Round Up program! Your generous support helps us to help those in need in the communities we serve.
