The Cuivre River Electric Community Trust Board met in December and awarded $29,360 in grants funded through Operation Round Up. Health grants were awarded to 13 individuals and families from Foley, Moscow Mills, O’Fallon, Silex, St. Peters, Troy, Wentzville, Winfield, and Wright City.
Grants included support for a gentleman with medical needs after an accident, funding a power lift chair and washer/dryer for a disabled woman, and helping with a bathroom upgrade to accommodate the needs of a gentleman with cerebral palsy. Weatherization grants included help with an electrical upgrade for the home of a disabled woman and replacing a mobile home’s HVAC system for a disabled couple.
Community organizations that received grants included:
United Services — $5,382 to help fund an automated lift for the organization’s aqua therapy pool.
Special holiday grants of $500 each were awarded to these community organizations:
