The Cuivre River Electric Community Trust Board met in January and awarded a total of just over $19,500 in grants funded through Operation Round Up.
Health grants were awarded to nine individuals/families from Foley, Foristell, O'Fallon, St. Charles, and Troy, including helping a family equip their home to assist with mobility for a disabled child, and support a family with finishing up a fence around their yard to provide security for their autistic child. A weatherization grant was awarded to an elderly woman in need of home repair to prevent her water pipes from freezing. Community organizations that received grants included:
- Love Serving God Ministries - $3,000 to assist the organization with completing a shelter that serves homeless residents, the elderly, youth, and the working poor.
- Our Lady's Inn - $2,896 to help support the organization in updating their security for their shelter that helps homeless, abused mothers, and their children.
We thank our members who so generously participate in the Operation Round Up program!
