The Cuivre River Electric Community Trust Board met in September and awarded just over $20,000 in grants funded through Operation Round Up.
Health grants were awarded to 15 individuals and families from Elsberry, Foley, Marthasville, O’Fallon, St. Peters, Troy, Warrenton, Wright City, and Wentzville. Grants included supporting several individuals with emergency medical needs; funding behavioral therapy for an autistic child and therapy for a developmentally disabled child; and helping a family modify their home to allow their disabled child to get to an accessible shower on the lower level. A weatherization grant was awarded to a family in need of an AC and heating unit.
Community organizations that received grants included:
- Emmaus Homes — $1,000 to help fund water thermometers for safety purposes in the organization’s group homes for daily activities such as cleaning, cooking, and showering.
- Warren County Pathfinders — $5,000 to help support the organization’s leadership weekend program and Camp We Can for developmentally disabled individuals.
We are grateful to our members who participate in the Operation Round Up program! Your generous support helps us to help those in need in the communities we serve.
