The Cuivre River Electric Community Trust Board met in November and awarded $24,857 in grants funded through Operation Round Up. Health grants were awarded to nine individuals and families from Foley, Marthasville, St. Charles, St. Peters, Troy, Warrenton, Wentzville, and Wright City.
They included helping a disabled woman with funding for an electric scooter, and other individuals with dental needs. Four weatherization grants were also awarded to support individuals and families who needed to replace a water heater, two new furnaces, and window replacements in a mobile home.
Community organizations that received grants included:
Winfield High School — $3,200 to fund the purchase of guitars for the fine arts program.
New Salem Baptist Church — $2,500 to help with cleaning and health care products for their pantry serving needy families.
Eagles Wings — $4,600 to help with their “shopping” program for new school clothes and supplies for needy families.
We are grateful to our members who participate in the Operation Round Up program! Your generous support helps us to help those in need in the communities we serve.
