For those Cuivre River Electric Cooperative (CREC) members interested in running in the 2024 Board of Directors
election, the deadline for submission of candidate nominations is noon on Tuesday, May 7.

Qualified candidates will be asked to attend a candidate reception and interview. This event is slated for Tuesday,May 14 at the CREC headquarters, 1112 E. Cherry St., Troy.

CREC bylaws require at least two candidates in each district. The committee has the final authority to select a slate of candidates from among the nominees. Once the committee has announced a slate of candidates, CREC members will have the opportunity to learn about the candidates prior to the election.

Four directors will be elected, one from each of these districts: Lincoln County District 3; St. Charles County Districts 1 and 3; and Warren County District 2 (see shaded areas on map).

Online voting via a secure internet site or by paper ballot begins on July 15 and closes on Aug. 19. Members also have
the option to vote in person at the annual meeting on Aug. 22 at the cooperative’s Troy headquarters.

If you are a CREC member and wish to be considered for the ballot you are advised to:
• Check the map to learn if a director will be elected from your district this year.
