The Cuivre River Electric Community Trust Board awarded $79,500 in college scholarships to 80 students during its meeting held June 10.
This is the largest amount of scholarship money awarded in a single year by the Trust Board. A total of 129 applications were submitted.
Scholarship funds are donated by Cuivre River Electric members who participate in Operation Round Up by rounding up their electric bill payments each month tot he next highest dollar.
