The Cuivre River Electric Community Trust Board recently awarded a $4,000 grant to OATS Transit to help provide transportation to area residents.

The grant funds will be used toward the local match on a new vehicle for services in Lincoln County. OATS Transit, a not-for-profit organization, provides transportation for work, medical appointments, essential shopping, nutrition and other needs to individuals with disabilities, seniors and rural residents of any age. OATS Transit has served Missourians since 1971.

“We are grateful that organizations like Cuivre River and their Operation Round Up program are dedicated to giving back to the communities,” OATS Transit Executive Director Dorothy Yeager said. “Without the support from Cuivre River, these purchases would not be possible.”
