Member candidates needed for appointment to the unexpired term of the Warren County Board District # 2

The Cuivre River Electric Cooperative (CREC) board of directors seeks interested and qualified member candidates to complete the unexpired term (until August, 2021) of the Warren County board district # 2 director who recently moved out of the CREC service area.  CREC bylaws allow the board of directors to appoint a qualified member to serve out the remaining portion of the unexpired term in cases like this one.

The Warren County board district # 2 consists of Warren County west of Hwy. 47 and south of I-70 and in Montgomery County in the Jonesburg area south of I-70.

Potential candidates should submit a CREC candidate profile form no later than COB on August 11, 2020.  A background check and other documents are also required to verify director qualifications.

Director qualifications as specified in Article IV, Section 3 of the cooperative bylaws, are available on the co-op’s website at cuivre.com or are available upon request.  In addition, it is recommended that directors regularly attend meetings held on the fourth Thursday of each month, devote several additional days each year to other meetings, and spend a few hours each month reading and studying.

Contact Kevin Hurd, manager of administrative services or Chris Ryan, manager of member services and IT, to confirm eligibility and learn more about serving as a director or to request a candidate profile.
