2020 Board of Directors election results
Three incumbents were re-elected and will be joined on the CREC Board of Directors by one new member.
This year’s election brought in a total of 1,856 votes, which includes 1,852 votes from paper ballots and online voting prior to CREC’s annual meeting on August 27.
Four ballots were cast on site at the meeting. Results from the election for four directors in the co-op’s four districts with seats open were announced at the annual meeting, which was streamed live on the co-op’s YouTube channel. A recording of the broadcast is available on CREC’s YouTube channel at https://youtu.be/rO5kqcvqlbQ.
The three incumbents who chose to run for re-election were selected by members for new three-year terms. Phil Dunk was re-elected in Warren County District 3. In St. Charles County District 4, Denise O’Mara was re-elected and Ted House was re-elected to St. Charles County District 5. New to the board will be Mike Cherry, who was elected to Lincoln County District 1.
Two propositions to amend the cooperative bylaws were also approved by voters. The changes will allow reducing the percentage of member signatures needed for nominations by petition and to change the notification requirements of unclaimed monies.
